Wardsboro is located in Windham County, Vermont. It includes the villages of Wardsboro Center, West Wardsboro and South Wardsboro. It is crossed by Vermont Route 100.

Wardsboro is set in the Green Mountains, and most of the town is included in the Green Mountain National Forest. It is near both the Mount Snow ski area and the Stratton ski area.
